Coleman is a native of Blackpool Lancashire. She attended Arnold School in Blackpool. In her time as headgirl, she scored straight A grades for her A Levels. Discussing her role on Emmerdale Coleman said that she regrets not having a conventional University education. Coleman became a member of the theater group, In Yer Space while at school. They performed during the Edinburgh Festival for the play Crystal Clear. She was awarded an award for her performance and the play was also well-received. Coleman was offered the role of Jasmine Thomas while she was in auditions at the drama schools. It happened in 2005. Coleman was nominated in 2007 for two prizes. In 2007 Coleman was nominated for two awards, The British Soap Awards as the most promising newcomer and the National Television Awards as the most Popular. In 2009, she was awarded nominated in the two categories: Best Actress-Sexiest Female and Best Dramatic Performance. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman has replaced Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor since Arthur Darvill left the series, would be playing the role with Matt Smith. Moffat chose her for the role due to her ability to work the best alongside Smith and also spoke faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Her involvement in the film industry since 1987. She has however been more prominent on TV as opposed to films. Eva's appearances in the TV show"Dr. Maria Santos, in All My Children, and Detective Natalia Boa Vista in CSI Miami are notable. In the latter, she even received two 'Daytime Emmy' nominations and allowed her to explore her creativity in music. Eva, in addition to acting, is an entrepreneur and philanthropist. Her third husband is father of her daughter.
