Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada. She is American. More than 20 albums have been released by her. DiFranco describes her music as folk-rock or alternative, but it also contains influences such as hip-hop, punk and jazz. A feminist icon widely recognized as Grammy recipient Ani DiFranco was the founder of the DIY movement being one of the first musicians to launch her own label 1990. DiFranco is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They were introduced at The Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her mother is from Montreal and her father is of Italian descent. Ani DiFranco composed and performed 32 Flavors.
