
Kelly Clarkson, in full Kelly Brianne Clarkson, (born on April 24, 1982 in Fort Worth, Texas, U.S.), American musician, singer and TV host who became known as a pop-rock superstar after having won the telecast talent competition American Idol on the show in. Clarkson was born in Burleson (Texas), one of the suburbs of Fort Worth. Her vocal talents were recognized when she was just seven from the head of the choir department at the school she attended. When she graduated from high school Clarkson moved in Los Angeles, where she failed to make it into the show business. When she returned to Texas, she became participant on the initial season of the The Fox Broadcasting Corporation's American Idol, a singing competition where viewers could choose their favorite performer. Clarkson's charismatic voice, personality and humour were immediately adored by viewers. Clarkson's prize to win the competition was $1 million, as well as an recording deal with RCA.
